Perfect Sharp is operated by UNSEEN FORMS LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 14395660), registered office: 11 Duchy Road, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, HG1 2EZ. By using it, you agree to what is below.

The service

Perfect Sharp is where our daily puzzle games live. The daily puzzles are free to play and need no account. Some things are for PerfectSharp+ members, set out below, and a game in early access is for members only until it opens to everybody. If you are not signed in as a member, a game may show you one short advert a day before the puzzle, for another of our games or for PerfectSharp+. We do not show adverts from anybody else.

We try to have a new puzzle every day and to keep the site up, but we do not guarantee either, and there will be days when something is broken.

Fair use

Please do not attempt to disrupt the service for other people, or to take the site apart in ways that interfere with it running: automated scraping, flooding it with requests, or attacking it. We may withdraw access from anybody doing that.

Accounts

An account is optional. One account covers every game we run. You sign in on perfectsharp.games with a link sent to your email address, and going from there to a game signs you in there as well. Keep access to that inbox: anybody who can read it can sign in as you. If you think somebody else has, use Sign out everywhere and tell us.

PerfectSharp+

PerfectSharp+ is our membership, sold on perfectsharp.games by UNSEEN FORMS LIMITED. It covers every game on Perfect Sharp, which today means Twixtle and Vowelsweeper, and any game we open early to members. In each game a member gets the full puzzle archive, Daily Hard (a second, harder puzzle each day), their solves on every device they sign in on, and no adverts while signed in. The benefits apply wherever you are signed in to your account. They do not apply in our apps on the App Store or Google Play.

Paying for it

You can pay monthly, at £2.99, $3.99 or €3.99, or once, at £24.99, $29.99 or €29.99. The currency you are offered depends on the country we believe you are connecting from. The price on the page is the price you pay, and it includes VAT wherever VAT applies. Payments are taken by Stripe.

Monthly. The monthly membership renews automatically each month, on the day of the month you joined, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Manage membership on perfectsharp.games while you are signed in, and the benefits continue until the end of the month you have already paid for. If a payment fails, the benefits stop until it goes through. If the price changes, we will tell you before it applies to you, and you will be able to cancel before it does.

One-time purchase. The one-time purchase is a single payment. It does not renew, and there is nothing more to pay. It gives you PerfectSharp+ for as long as we offer PerfectSharp+, or a membership that replaces it. It is a purchase of access to the games, not a promise that they will run for any particular length of time. It belongs to the email address used at checkout and cannot be transferred. If you are already paying monthly when you buy it, whether here or through Twixtle+ or Vowelsweeper+, that subscription is set to end at the end of the period you have paid for, and it is not charged again. If it is charged again by mistake, tell us and we will refund it. If a one-time purchase is refunded in full, the membership it gave you ends when the refund is made, unless you are still paying for PerfectSharp+ in another way.

If you already had Twixtle+ or Vowelsweeper+

It is now PerfectSharp+, and it covers every game. Nothing about how you pay changes. A subscription carries on at the same price, on the same card and on the same date, and you manage or cancel it where you always have: from the account screen of the game you bought it in. A Twixtle+ one-time purchase now gives you PerfectSharp+ on the terms above. If you were paying for both games, one of the two subscriptions has been set to end at the end of its paid period, so you are not charged twice for the same membership.

Games in early access

A game in early access is open to members only while it is in early access. It is unfinished: it may change a great deal, go some days without a new puzzle, or be withdrawn. When a game leaves early access it normally becomes free for everybody, with the member benefits above. Early access is a chance to play a game first, not a promise that a particular game will be available for a particular time.

Your membership account

Buying PerfectSharp+ creates your account, under the email address given at checkout. If you pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay, that is the address your wallet gives Stripe. It may not be the one you use every day, and it is where your confirmation is sent.

Changing your mind

You have 14 days from paying to change your mind, for either plan. Email hi@perfectsharp.games within those 14 days and we refund you in full, even though you will have had the membership in the meantime. After 14 days a monthly membership is cancelled from Manage membership and runs to the end of the month you have paid for; a one-time purchase is not refundable.

If you are charged twice

Tell us at hi@perfectsharp.games and we will refund the payment you did not mean to make.

Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including rights relating to refunds.

Who can play

The daily puzzle is suitable for all ages and there is no minimum age to play it, but PerfectSharp+ involves a payment, so you must be 18 or over to buy it, or have the permission of a parent or guardian who is.

Names other people can see

If you are a member, you can choose a name for the supporters list, which is public.

Illegal content

Illegal content is not allowed, and we will remove it as soon as we become aware of it. Because the only thing you can publish here is a short name, and names cannot contain links, there is very little scope for it, but the rule stands. If you see something you believe is illegal or breaks these rules, email hi@perfectsharp.games. We read every report.

If you think we got it wrong

If we blocked your name, removed your name from the supporters list, or removed you from a league, and you think that was a mistake, email hi@perfectsharp.games and tell us the name, and the league if there was one. A person will look at it and reply.

Ownership

The puzzles, the artwork, the code and the names are ours. You are welcome to share a result, a screenshot or a link. Please do not republish the puzzles themselves as your own, or build a competing product out of them.

What we promise, and what we do not

The service is provided as it is. Your streak and your record are stored in your own browser unless you have an account, so clearing your browser data erases them permanently and we cannot restore them.

Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Otherwise we are not liable for loss arising from your use of a puzzle game beyond what the law requires.

Changes and contact

These terms may change as the games grow. The date at the top is when they last changed, and if a change materially affects a membership you are paying for, we will tell you before it applies. Questions go to hi@perfectsharp.games.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
